It was my pleasure being with Viking TV on September 28, 2021. I really enjoyed the interview; Alastair is a wonderful presenter, it was like talking to a friend and sharing cooking tips about Italian food, so relaxing!
As a child I loved to cook, with my mom, my aunt and my grandmother who were excellent cooks and from them I learned many tasty recipes. My passion has always continued as I grew. I really like to invite friends over for dinner, and my friends’ enthusiasm and encouragement in my cooking gave me the idea to share it with others and start a blog in 2012.
When seeing how well my blog was received, I said why not write a book? My first book Love is Eating has given me the opportunity to go further, to interpret the Italian cuisine more completely. Then I wrote a second one The Mamma Mia Diet with Paola Palestini a biochemist university professor, a modern interpretation of the Mediterranean Diet. Then my 3rd book, Honestly Healthy, Salads and Smoothies, a collection of useful tips and recipes on how to follow a plant- based diet. Then, a book on Coronavirus, how the Italians faced at home the first lockdown in March- April 2020, identifying the importance of comfort food. I have a just completely a new book about Italian Aperitivo, healthy food and drinks.
I love my job and I am happy to my passion was appreciated by audice. I received my nice questions, that’s what I like about food, it is also sharing. Food is not only nourishment, food is art, culture, history, health, and wellness. Cooking with friends is fun, connection and relaxing. My cooking classes are more than some lessons, they are a lifestyle experience, being in Italian home with Italian people. Please watch the video and look forward to your feedback, questions and comments! Buona visione! – Paola

Great interview! And compliments on your excellent English.
By the way, I was one of those odd kids who actually *liked* vegetables..
